Twins or More Workshop Saturday 23rd August 2025
Event description
About this event
This program is tailored to meet the learning needs of the couple expecting TWINS or more. It is expected that participants have already attended or plan to attend another Childbirth and Parenting Education program. However, if you have other children, this may be all you need to gain some extra knowledge on dealing with more than one. The workshop provides information on understanding your baby’s needs, settling techniques, home safety and equipment, handling and care of the baby, and becoming a family.
This interactive course will be presented face-to-face in the education block at Westmead Hospital. Although you can attend it online through Zoom from home, we encourage you to attend face-to-face to get the most out of the program.
The cost is $35.00 if you attend the positive birth and parenting workshop at Westmead Hospital. The cost is $70 if you are giving birth at Westmead Hospital (and you are not attending the positive birth and parenting workshop) and $120 if you are giving birth elsewhere.
If possible, parents-to-be of twins or more are encouraged to attend this workshop before 34 weeks gestation. Videos specific to multiple births and parenting are shown.
Topics include:
- Pregnancy with twins or more
- Birth options
- What to expect with multiple babies

- Caring for your new babies and any others
