You’ll experiment with bold brushwork, playful marks, layering, texture, and flowing color while learning how to simplify shapes and let the watercolor do some of the magic.

Whether you’re brand new to watercolor or ready to break out of your comfort zone, this class is all about experimenting, relaxing, and enjoying the process. No pressure for perfection—just paint, play, and create!

Please dress for painting class, although an apron will be provided.

Class is located in the Bee Cave Arts Foundation gallery, in the Hill Country Galleria, across from H&M and Dillard's.

About your instructor:
Rashmi Thakur is an Austin-based multidisciplinary artist and art educator with over 15 years of teaching experience. She leads workshops and demonstrations for art organizations and communities, inspiring artists of all levels to explore creativity and build confidence.

Rashmi is President of the Waterloo Watercolor Group and holds a BFA from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai, along with studies in Fashion Styling at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), New York.

Her teaching and artistic practice celebrate art as a pathway to creative expression, mindfulness, and lifelong learning.
