Two Piece in a Pod
Event description
Two Piece in a Pod is a night dedicated to celebrating some of Melbourne’s finest two-piece bands! Stripping it down to the essentials, these duos prove that less is more, bringing raw energy, tight grooves, and an explosive sound to the stage.
On this killer lineup, we have:
Digger and The Pussycats are considered one of Australia’s most exciting music exports. The dynamic duo have built a reputation across a 20-year career as a live band that leave every ounce of sweat on the stage. Combining a myriad of musical styles ranging from 60’s garage-punk right through to blues
and party rock and roll, the band has won over audiences in both hemispheres through relentless touring and their prolific catalogue of releases - including 5 x LPs, 14 x 7” singles and a split 10”.
Bratwave duo Hearts & Rockets are making dance music for punks, and punk for the dance floor. With a huge back catalogue of catchy tracks, touching on everything from post-punk, disco, indie and punk, the band has over 16 self-produced and visually stunning video clips, and a stack of stand alone and split singles. They are known for their tongue-in-cheek and not-so-subtle stabs at society, and their frequent pop culture references.
Planet Bitchy has landed on the fresh, flirty and fertile face of planet earth. Powering through time and space and also Melbourne at a rapidly average rate, these two foxy space-agents are set on pumping disco sex juice through the nations veins. With lyrics to scream your heart out and bass to bop your bussy, Planet Bitchy is here to like totally like party… or whatever.
Mousse Cannon, a high-energy post-punk duo that delivers a relentless fusion of tribal rambling beats and razor-sharp bass shreddery.
Get ready for a night of pure, unfiltered music where every beat hits harder, every riff cuts deeper, and every act proves that two is all you need.
