Two weeks - Make a Native Serving Tray: Power Tools 101, ReCreators Green Space, Tuesday 24&31Mar 10am-1pm
Description
Proudly brought to you by Auckland Council Waste Solution!
This workshop runs over two sessions so you can slow down and work with native timber properly. Good wood takes time, care, and patience.
In session one, you’ll learn drop saw basics and safety, get to know your timber, and work through measuring, cutting, and shaping your pieces.
Session two is about bringing it all together. You’ll build your serving tray, sand it smooth, and finish it with oil to protect the timber and highlight its natural grain.
A practical, beginner friendly workshop where you’ll learn core woodworking skills and take home a beautiful native timber serving tray made by you.
