UC International Welcome S1 2024
Haere Mai | Welcome!
If you are a new UC international student (or transitioning to campus for the first time), join us for a fun and
informative welcome to help you meet other students, key international support staff, and learn how to settle into
your new life in Ōtautahi Christchurch as a UC international student!
Students who are welcome to join this event are:
- New international undergraduate and postgraduate students - please arrive by 10 am at C1.
- Study Abroad and Exchange students - please attend an information session for Study Abroad and Exchange students at 9 am at C2.
- New Zealand Manaaki Scholarship students - please arrive by 10 am at C1.
- UCIC, CCEL and other pathway students transitioning to the UC Campus - please arrive by 10 am at C1.
What’s involved?
- Goodie bags!
- 10 am - 12 pm: A Māori welcome to campus; International Student Orientation sessions
- 12 pm - 1 pm: A light lunch, music, international support stalls, and the opportunity to make connections with other new students
- 1 pm - 2 pm: Amazing Race around our beautiful campus, led by student mentors.
- 2 pm - 3 pm: Games on the Lawn and Makerspace
