If you are a new UC international student (or transitioning to campus for the first time), join us for a fun and informative welcome to help you meet other students, key international support staff, and learn how to settle into your new life in Ōtautahi Christchurch as a UC international student!

Students who are welcome to join this event are:

• New international undergraduate and postgraduate students 
• Study Abroad and Exchange students
  
• New Zealand Manaaki Scholarship students
  
• UCIC, CCEL and other pathway students transitioning to the UC Campus

Ngaio Marsh Theatre, Haere-roa (UCSA), 90 Ilam Road, Ilam, Christchurch

What’s involved?

• 9:45 am Students arrive at Ngaio Marsh Theatre
• 10 am, Welcome 
• 10.15 am, The need-to-know info 
• 10.35 am, Icebreaker activity 
• 10.45 am, Break 
• 11.00 am, Student Care presentation 
• 11.20 am, Feel safe and be safe
• 11.40 am, Quick hello from student services 
• 11.55 am, What’s on this afternoon 
• 12.00 pm, Lunch and student services market (a light lunch box is provided, but please bring your own snacks or food if needed)
• 1 pm, Amazing race on campus 
• 2.30 pm, Two concurrent sessions: Student panel session for adult students; Session for study abroad and exchange students
• 3.30 pm, The event ends

Free tickets, but registration is required.
