Planting afternoon with UC SVA, LU SVA + CVNZ

🗓️ Date: Saturday 16th August

⌚️ Time: Meet outside UCSA at 12:30 pm. We will return to UCSA around 4:30 pm. (Meet in front of the sliding doors of the UCSA - it looks out towards the car park and UC health centre).

📍 Where: Horseshoe Lake Reserve, 11, Burwood, Christchurch 8061 (transport provided to and from UCSA)

🎒 What to bring: A water bottle, covered shoes, clothes you are ok getting dirty + are warm (ideally long pants and top to protect from sun + avoid irritation from plants)

Join the University of Canterbury SVA, Lincoln SVA and Conservation Volunteers New Zealand for an afternoon of planting at Waikākāriki Horseshoe Lake in the Ōtākaro Avon River Corridor. Aid in helping to restore this former wetland to native vegetation, encouraging native birds, lizards and bugs back to the region.
