UCHC 100th Jubilee

The University of Canterbury Hockey Club is proud to celebrate 100 years of hockey history in 2023! 

We welcome all current and past members and their partners to join us for the once in a 100 year event, the University of Canterbury Hockey Club’s 100th Jubilee celebration at ANZAC Weekend!

This ticket gets you entry to our fabulous Gala Dinner, comprising a three course menu, a few drinks, but most importantly lots of good yarns & some laughs with your old (and new) UC Hockey mates. You can also pair your ticket with a golf ticket - get around the course with UC Hockey alumni. Please note the golf will be taking place on Monday morning 10am, so a good excuse to take the Monday off and have yourself an extra-long weekend. 

Gala Dinner -  7pm Saturday 22 April 

Golf (18 holes) - 10am  9am Monday 24 April (Hagley Golf Club) Update: this has been changed from 10am to 9am

Merchandise, including special edition UC Hoody and glassware will be available to purchase on the night. 

Do you have a story to tell?! – then get your decade snapshot into 100jubilee@uchockey.co.nz with your presentation plan. We are looking for a short (5-10 minute) presentation which will give everyone at the event an interesting snapshot of the club during a particular time period/decade. Power-point and other facilities will be made available. We are hoping to have several of these throughout the evening so we encourage you to put yourself forward and we’ll work with you from there!

Our non-ticketed events will extend from the Friday night till Tuesday (ANZAC day) and include: 

• Friday night bar meet and greet - venue tbc 
• Casual Hockey tournament - venue and time tbc
• FIH games at Nga Puna Wai - Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.  (note these tickets are sold separately & can be purchased at https://blacksticksnz.co.nz/ma... )
• A BYO dinner - to keep a good student tradition alive
