Welcome to the 25/26 bike season with Ruapehu Mountain Bike Club at Uenuku Pines MTB Park!

Scroll through and have a read about useful information and check out some riding photos at the bottom of this page!

SUMMER 2025 / 2026 INTRODUCTION:

We're a small volunteer committee organized mountain bike club based at the Uenuku Pines MTB Park - Ruapehu's first dedicated mountain bike park! Since logging finished up in 2024, we've introduced and rebuilt 10 trails over the last couple of summers - most recently was the completion of Ye Old Mill Road with connecting this trail from the bottom of Rakehead and Boost across the big logging clear/skid site to the bottom of Dropper and connecting into Waterfall Express, the top section of Dropper has been completed too! Our goal for 2025 is to work on extending the lower section of Loose Chain, extend Rakehead from the top of Loose Chain to the new top of Dropper, and continue the ongoing trail maintenance on all other trails! Our prices for 2025/2026 has maintained at the same pricing as the last two years - $10 Single Day Pass, $25 Individual Season pass, $50 Family Season Pass.

VOLUNTEER HELP WITH RUAPEHU MTB CLUB & UENUKU PINES MTB PARK - 2025/2026

As a small club that is ran by volunteers we've always got lots to do with trail maintenance and helping out on club rides/events. If you're someone who is passionate about mountain biking around the Ruapehu area and keen to work on trails, or assist with club social rides, or an administration expert that can help with work behind the scenes please reach out on the type of volunteer work there is to help grow Ruapehu Mountain Bike Club and Uenuku Pines Mountain Bike Park! We'd love to continue growing club offerings and programs but reality is, we need additional volunteer help to do so - whether it's a few hours throughout the summer or you're able to assist on a more regular basis, any help is greatly appreciated! Please email or message the club, we'd love to talk more! - Thank you from Jordana, Matiu and Greg.

TRAIL MAP & LEARNING YOUR WAY AROUND UENUKU PINES MTB PARK

Currently the trail signage is limited at the bike park and we're often updating trails on our trail map, for this reason we highly encourage riders to use the TRAILFORKS app for reference while riding at the bike park. On Trailforks, you will also find highlighted the logging/gravel roads throughout the park that can be used by riders to move around between trails - for example, the gravel roads can be used to connect between the bottom of Loose Chain to the Top of Dropper or Cog Wild.

We appreciate you taking the time to sign up to be a member with Ruapehu MTB Club and thank you for understanding that membership to Ruapehu MTB Club is required to ride at Uenuku Pines MTB Park, this is part of our lease agreement with NZ Forestry Managers - similar to many other clubs and bike parks across New Zealand.

Please ride safely, stay within your ability level and scope out the trails and features first!

See you on the trails !

Cheers,

Greg, Matiu, Jordana
