What's it all about?
The Uke Queen Team from Making Music 4 Life will lead you in a joyous afternoon where you can sing and strum along to your favourite tunes, sip on a cold beverage if that's your thing, and enjoy an afternoon filled with laughter, good company, and musical joy! It's the most fun you can have with 4 strings!
What can I expect to learn?
Revamped for 2024, be prepared each session to learn a piece that has been orchestrated in 3 or more parts! In the second half of each session we will sing and strum along to your favourite tunes from the Ukulele Club Songbooks I and II.
Is this for me?
Uke-A-Holics Anonymous Great Big Uke Jams are for strummers, pluckers, riffers, finger
pickers, slappers, rappers, rockers and plonkers! The only caveat is that you must have completed a foundation
level course (or you have received private ukulele lessons) before you attend an event as these events are not for absolute beginners!
What do I need to bring?
- Your ukulele, kazoo & ukulele capo
- Ukulele Club Songbooks Vol I and II
- Optional: Music stand (plenty of bar tables)
- Optional: Afternoon tea - there are only bar snacks at the venue
- Essential: Unbridled enthusiasm!
