    Event description

Explore watercolour techniques to create organic botanical compositions that capture the beauty of the natural world. Sketch leaves and blooms, influenced by Ukrainian folk-art techniques. We will talk and practice: starting with watercolour, collecting ideas, composition, adding the first layer, adding the second layer, finalising the work, and overcoming creative blocks. This workshop is for anyone with an interest in creating watercolour illustrations or capturing the beauty of nature through art.

Anastasiia is a Ukrainian artist, born and raised in Zaporizhia, but now based in Hobart - Tasmania. She is deeply passionate about traditional art, illustration, and web design. In her work, nature is an essential source of inspiration. Through illustrations, she focusses on creating colourful work showcasing childhood memories, kindness and light. She translates quotidian situations into her canvas, using imagination and mixed techniques.

All materials will be supplied, and you will get to take your creations home.
