UMass Amherst Engineering & Computing Day for High School Students 2025
Event description
The UMass Amherst College of Engineering will again be hosting our annual Career Day for regional high schools. The goal of the day is to get students excited about pursuing undergraduate degrees in engineering or computer science. While the event is geared towards high school girls, all genders and orientations are welcome to attend.
Who should attend?
High school students interested in the fields of engineering or computer and information science.
All genders are welcome! The day is just geared to empower girls to pursue engineering and computing, fields that are still male dominated.
We try and limit to ~10 students per school to make the opportunity available to as many schools as possible!

Schedule Overview
8:30 am - Check in and continental breakfast
8:45 am - 1:15 pm - Full program including lunch
1:30 - 2:45 pm - Optional after hours student round-table panel and tours
Vegetarian options available for breakfast & lunch. Other dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated in event buffet, however additional food options are available in the Campus Center at cost if needed.
Parking & Transportation
Parking passes to Campus Garage will be provided for passenger cars and vans with a clearance need less than 7' 2" . Special accommodations for oversized vans can be made in advance. Bus parking will also be available. Transportation arrangements and mileage are the responsibility of the school/student unless otherwise arranged with UMass.
