Welcome to Just Cultured: Not only do we teach you how to ferment delicious fun products, but we also celebrate the diversity of fermentation practices from around the world! Our workshop is designed to emphasise the collaboration between humans and the microbial world, and leave you with a deeper appreciation of the invisible force of life that connects us all!

Fermentation is an ancient and modern age practice, a dance between humans and microbes that has given rise to some of the most beloved and beneficial foods and beverages around the globe. At Just Cultured, we believe in honouring these traditions while empowering you with the knowledge and skills to create your own fermented delights. In this workshop, you'll learn the art of fermenting milk and honey products and get to take home your creations.

What You'll Learn:

Milk Kefir with Grains:
Discover how to transform milk into a probiotic-rich beverage that can be included in your fermentation repertoire. We'll guide you through the process, from choosing your milk to caring for your kefir grains.

Kefir Butter:

Take your milk kefir skills a step further by learning to make delicious kefir butter. You'll be amazed at how easy it is to create this cultured butter that's perfect for spreading, cooking, or baking.

Honey Whey Soda:

Dive into the natural carbonation process that transforms honey whey into a refreshing, effervescent soda.

Honey Garlic:

Explore another side of fermentation with our fermented honey garlic recipe. This sweet and tangy fermented condiment will enhance the flavour of your cooking and help you understand more about the art of fermenting with honey.

What to Bring:

A curious mind and a willingness to learn

Preferably a carton/container to safely bring back your glass jars/bottles
