About the Forum:

Explore the role of global peacekeeping on the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers! In this 2-hour event, you'll have the exclusive opportunity to hear from, and connect with, past and present UN Peacekeeping veterans and experts. Hear about their experiences and the challenges they faced daily.

Prepare to be informed, inspired and engaged as our speakers discuss the indispensable work of UN and other international peacekeepers in our world. Through their stories and insights, you'll gain a deeper understanding of international peace and security efforts.

Whether you're interested in the United Nations and the challenges it faces in today’s world, curious about international peacekeeping, or simply keen to network with other passionate people - all are welcome.

About the Speakers:

Our speakers have varied experience in international peacekeeping, including in the Middle East, Africa, and New York.

Lieutenant Colonel Rudd was deployed in 2010 to the United Nations Mission in Sudan as the UN Force Headquarters Senior Staff Officer for Logistics. Rudd has also trained military and police personnel from Thailand, Australia, and other Indo-Pacific nations for service in UN missions.

Sergeant Shauna Pepper is an Administration Clerk for the Australian Army and was deployed as part of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) in 2023 as the Personnel Clerk, located in Sinai Peninsula Egypt.

Major Luke Tindale was deployed to the UN Truce Supervision Organisation (UNTSO), where he was the Deputy Team Leader of Team Victor, Observer Group Lebanon in 2013/2014.
