The Italian Historical Society of South Australia Inc. invites you to join us at Palace Nova East End for a special screening of the Italian box-office hit Life is Life (La vita va così).

Inspired by a true story and set against the spectacular coastline of Sardinia, this charming and thought-provoking Italian comedy brings together humor, heart and a battle over something that money simply cannot buy.

At the centre of the story is Efisio, a shepherd whose quiet life and deep connection to his land are suddenly threatened by plans for a luxury development.

When a powerful property group comes calling with an offer worth millions, surely saying yes should be easy...

Efisio has other ideas.

What begins as an attempt to buy one man's land soon becomes a much bigger struggle between tradition and progress, community and development, money and belonging.

With colourful characters, beautiful Sardinian scenery and plenty of Italian spirit, Life is Life is a warm David-versus-Goliath story that asks an important question:

What is worth holding onto when the world around you wants to change?
