Imagine walking into a room and discovering that someone has built an enormous, beautiful nest inside it. Books everywhere, tea being poured, soft lighting, vintage lounges, a ridiculous amount of cushions and little corners to disappear into.

Welcome to The Den.

UNCENSORED MARGINS is a night for adults who want to get out of the house, try something a little different and spend three hours doing things that feel really bloody good.

There'll be a Tea Bar for lingering, a Mystery Book Gifting for finding your next obsession, and a Pleasure Spot (a table of pleasure products and books to look at, pick up and ask questions about).

And then there's THE BIG QUESTION: a 30-minute conversation with a sexologist exploring the things we're usually too polite, embarrassed or curious to talk about. For the first edition: WHY ON EARTH DO WE FIND FICTIONAL CHARACTERS HOTTER THAN REAL PEOPLE? Hosted by yours truly, Niamh Mannion <3

UNCENSORED MARGINS is a sex-positive event, but it isn't a sex club or a dating event. It's a social, cultural and sensory experience where conversations about sex and pleasure are part of the evening, it is an 18+ event.

This is not a traditional book club- There’s no set book, no homework, and nobody’s going to ask what you thought of chapter four. Think chaos book parallel play: bring whatever you’re reading (spicy novel, smut, comic, sex ed non fiction, all welcome), read it alongside other people, and swap ideas and chat when you feel like it.
