Uncharitable Movie: Melbourne Pre-Screening and Live Impact Campaign Crowdfunding
Event description
Uncharitable Melbourne: Exclusive Pre-Screening and Live Crowdfunding for the Australian Impact CampaignÂ
Wednesday 31st May 6.00PM | Kino Cinema, 45 Collins St, Melbourne CBD
Social Impact Hub and The Funding Network are proud to present the exclusive pre-screening in Melbourne of Dan Pallotta's powerful and timely movie that will change the way you think about charity and the not-for-profit sector.
Following the screening, we will facilitate a short and sharp live crowdfunding session for the Australian impact campaign. We’ll be seeking both financial and in-kind support to maximise the reach and impact of this incredible film.
Uncharitable builds on social entrepreneur and activist Dan Pallotta's book and viral philanthropy TedX Talk that confront the traditional societal perceptions stifling the ability of charities and not-for-profits to create positive impact.

For decades, we have been taught to believe that not-for-profits (NFPs) should minimise their administrative costs and they should not invest in fundraising, salaries, marketing and innovation. Uncharitable offers a fresh and inspiring perspective on what the NFP sector could be if we challenge this notion, and how by doing so, we can better enable the sector to tackle society's most pressing social and environmental issues.
Don't miss your chance to be part of the change. Gather your colleagues and join us for the debut pre-screening of one of the most highly anticipated and insightful movies of the year!
The Social Impact Hub is a purpose-driven intermediary that collaborates with a broad range of changemakers within the for-purpose sector. Through advice, education, mobilising capital and ecosystem building, we build capacity to amplify impact.
The Funding Network (TFN) brings people together to find, fund and support grassroots social change programs that directly help people in need. Through dynamic live crowdfunding events and ongoing capacity-building programs, TFN connects grassroots for-purpose organisations to people and networks interested in investing their money, time and talent to fuel social change.
