Event description

'Uncovering thievery, piracy and other behaviours of wetland birds and dolphins through the eye of a drone"

Please join us to learn about Ben Roennfeldt's experiences of surveying birds and other wetland wildlife using using drones.

Overview: Complex relationships occur between our wetland birds and animals, which often go unnoticed.

Through a drones-eye, we will discover that life is not always fair on the water, especially for those that fish for a living.

Presenter: Dr Ben Roennfeldt
Lecturer at SM TAFE's School of Science and Environment (Mandurah/Murdoch)
Honorary Research Fellow of Murdoch University
Mandurah Environment and Heritage Committee

Awards Presentation: The Wetland Stories Prizes will be presented to the winners at the end of the formal presentation.

Textile and mixed media artist, Marie Mitchell, will be on hand to provide short tours to highlight the stories behind the artists' works in the exhibition for those interested.
