Welcome to Wollongong Singles! Curated events run by Illawarra locals to bring people together through facilitated events in a relaxed and supportive environment. 

Come and join us for a classic singles mixer to bring together people in a relaxed and social environment! 

We've had feedback that some people are keen to skip the games and just hangout in a bar with other single people, so this is your chance! Connect with other single people, make new friends, and maybe even find a potential romantic connection. Our goal is to create a space where single people can come together, build community, and form meaningful connections. 

This is not a heavily structured event - just old school meeting single people in a bar. Don't miss out on this chance to expand your social circle and maybe even find a special connection!

On Arrival

This is an afternoon mixer, running from 2pm to 5pm. Arrive any time from 2pm, but try to arrive on time so that you can make the most of the time - three hours goes by fast when you're having sparkling conversation!

Your ticket includes a drink on arrival - beer, wine, or non alcoholic options. There is also the option to purchase a VIP Drinks Package and get two $15 cocktails for just $20.

Age Group

This night is for people aged under 40. 1. The purpose of this event is to have fun! We encourage you to leave expectations of meeting your forever person at the door and instead focus on enjoying yourself and connecting with new people.
2. This is not speed dating - it's better than speed dating! Come ready to answer questions and be curious.
3. Not everyone is going to be heterosexual and monogamous. We're welcoming of people who identify beyond the binary, people with diverse sexual orientations and relationship styles, so come with an open mind.
4. And of course, be kind and respectful to everyone you meet!

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from your Singles Nights?

At a Singles Mixer, there are no facilitated games or conversations. It's simply a space for people open to dating to some together. At our regular Singles Nights, we sit at tables with 4-6 people and play games together, then rotate around the room. If that sounds like your jam, check out our other events.  

Is this a speed dating event?

No! At the Singles Mixer, there are no facilitated games or conversations, it's simply a space for people open to dating to come together. We will encourage participants to move around the room periodically so you can meet as many people as you'd like to organically, and we'll have games on hand if you'd like to sit down and play UNO or Jenga to help you get to know someone, but there's no pressure to participate.

What should I expect at the event?

Expect a warm welcome, a relaxed atmosphere, and local people interested in dating. 

Is there a dress code?

No strict dress code – just come as you are and feel comfortable. Feel free to dress as you might for a first date!

Where do you run these events?

All our events are run in Wollongong and the surrounding region.

What if I'm shy or nervous?

Our hosts are experienced in creating a supportive environment, and our events are designed to make everyone feel comfortable. You'll be in good hands! If you need to take a break at any time or leave early, you're welcome to do so.

What does it mean if the event page is sold out and telling me to join a waitlist?

We take care to ensure that our events don't have loads of men and hardly any women, or vice versa, and so we release tickets in short bursts to keep the numbers even. If tickets for your gender are sold out, simply join the waitlist and you'll get an email when the other gender's tickets have caught up and we can release more. If you don't get an email before the event, join us at the next one!
