Under 7 - Under 10

For the upcoming 2023/24 season, Seacliff SLSC will be conducting it's 75-minute Come & Try Nipper Program every Saturday afternoon from 21 October through to 25 November (inclusive) for keen juniors to get a taste of surf sports before committing to join.

Nippers is run in age groups and the following age eligibility applies for the 2023/24 season:

• Under 6 - Born 1 October 2017 to 30 September 2018
• Under 7 - Born 1 October 2016 to 30 September 2017
• Under 8 - Born 1 October 2015 to 30 September 2016
• Under 9 - Born 1 October 2014 to 30 September 2015
• Under 10 - Born 1 October 2013 to 30 September 2014
• Under 11 - Born 1 October 2012 to 30 September 2013
• Under 12 - Born 1 October 2011 to 30 September 2012
• Under 13 - Born 1 October 2010 to 30 September 2011

Come & Try Program Details:

• experienced and specialised coaching led by Lori Chandler (Seacliff SLSC Assistant Sprint Coach), Terry Keeffe (Seacliff SLSC Life Member) and supported by Age Group Leaders (AGLs) and Seacliff Patrol Members
• a specially designed weekly age and ability appropriate program (adjusted accordingly for weather and water conditions)
• small participant numbers 
• equipment provision; and
• Water Cover

Come & Try Dates:

• Session 1 - Saturdays, 21 & 28 October
• Session 2 - Saturdays, 4 & 11 November
• Session 3 - Saturdays, 18 & 25 November

Age Group Times: Each week the following times will be followed to organise the Come & Try Program:

• Under 6: 1.15-2.30pm (Arrive at 12.40pm for a 1.15pm start)
• Under 7-10: 1.00-2.15pm (Arrive at 12.30pm for a 1.00pm start)
• Under 11-13: 2.00-3.15pm (Arrive at 1.40pm for a 2.00pm start) 

Cost: $25 per child (includes two consecutive Come & Try dates and should you join this amount will be discounted from your Membership Fees.

Where To Meet: On the beach in front of the Seacliff Surf Tower (opposite the roundabout on the corner of The Esplanade and Wheatland Street) there will be the big Seacliff Nipper trailer. The 'Come & Try Registration/Check-In' area will be beside the trailer.

Who To Meet: There will be a number of Seacliff SLSC Junior Committee Members and AGLs on the beach.

What To Bring: Swimmers, Hat, Drink Bottle, Goggles, Wetsuit (optional), Smile & Positive Attitude! (Should you choose be become a Member, and we hope you will, the Club will have a 'Starter Pack' for sale that includes all the gear your child will need for the season ahead).

Please Note: Closer to your selected session dates you will receive a reminder email to advise of all the key 'Come & Try' session details, as well as a link to the 'Participation Waiver' that is required to be completed prior to your child's participation.
