Under the Bridge - Birrarung Spring Clean Supreme
Care for the Birrarung: Clean Up, Plant & Connect
Make a positive impact on the Birrarung by choosing your own adventure! Join a community litter clean-up, help plant along the river to support biodiversity, or take part in both activities.
Arrive when it suits you, with safety briefings held every 30 minutes between 10.00 am and 12.30 pm. The event concludes at approximately 1.00 pm.
Along the way you'll have the opportunity to connect with passionate environmental organisations and learn how you can continue making a difference beyond the day.
Meet Tangaroa Blue Foundation and discover how community-collected litter data helps prevent pollution from entering our waterways and marine environment. Chat with the Australian Conservation Foundation's Macnamara Group about practical ways to take action for climate, forests, rivers, oceans and wildlife.
Visit the Westgate Biodiversity & Billi Nursery stall to learn about local citizen science and volunteer opportunities, and meet Kai from Habitat Warriors and Eco Warriors Australia, who will share stories about Yedabila habitat pods, the Seven Seasons, fairy wrens, turtles, constellations and more.
Bring your reusable cup for water or tea refills, wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities, and, if you'd like, bring a few gold coins to purchase seed bombs or tubestock plants.
Come for a workout for both body and mind, meet like-minded people, and help create lasting positive change for the Birrarung.

Acknowledgement of Country
Yarra Riverkeeper Association acknowledges that the lands and waterways of the Yarra, Birrarung catchment, are the unceded territories of the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung and Bunurong Boonwurrung peoples. We pay respect to Traditional Owners, who have, and continue, to care for Country. We acknowledge that the river now called Yarra has always been known as the Birrarung by its custodians.
