Under the Sea Wall Hanging with Felted Kelp Tassels

Come along to the Merrymakers Shed @ Stoddart Cottage + learn the ancient art of felt making!

We will use the wet felting technique to make a colourful underwater scene.

You will learn how to 'capture' other materials under the wool fibre, including the fabric strips, silk yarn + sequins.

To finish it off, we will make 'kelp' tassels + attach these using needle felting.

All materials will be supplied, just bring your elbow grease + imagination!

Age 8+

Please Note: Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a non-paying adult.

The workshop is run by experienced feltmaker + Textile Artist Nicole Vosper who has been making wool +

Textile art for over 20 years + has sold her artwork in galleries + gift shops.

Nicole is also a trained teacher + has worked in tutoring, teaching + childcare roles in NZ, Japan, Italy +

England. She is creative, patient + passionate about helping children + young adults reach their potential.
