UNDERARTS Term 4 Show
Description
Reunion of the Gods is a brand new, site-specific performance created by the UNDERARTS 8-12-year-old ensemble. For one evening only, the outdoor spaces of Balam Balam Place are transformed into the chaotic kingdom of the Greek gods - complete with family drama, underworld carparks, sea storms and a very opinionated eagle.
The show is the culmination of a term of collaborative performance-making, with young people devising their own characters, scenes and world. Facilitated by theatre-makers Ahmarnya Price and Allison Wiltshire, with set and costume support from artist Liang Luscombe, this project champions young people as serious artists with big, funny, thoughtful ideas.
After the performance, you’re invited to stay for a relaxed picnic. Bring a rug and some snacks and celebrate the cast with friends, family and community.
