Sarcoptic mange causes immense suffering and kills wombats slowly. But mange can be treated, and we can do more to stop that suffering.

We need more people who know what to look for, who to contact and how to help—from members of the public and landowners to councils and politicians. With training, support and a coordinated approach, we can get more treatment programs running where they are needed.

If you want to recognise mange and know what to do when you see an affected wombat, this workshop is for you.

Here’s what I’ll be covering:

What mange is and how it spreads
How to recognise the signs
What to do when you see a wombat with mange
Wombat behaviour and why it matters for treatment
Treating individual wombats and whole populations
Treatment techniques - the do’s and don’ts
Medicines, permits and who can treat
Time for your questions

Knowing what to look for is the first step. Knowing what to do next can save a life.

Please note: this session will be recorded.
