Understanding Autism POSTPONED
Event description
Due to COVID Level 2 restrictions in Auckland we are postponing this workshop. We will re-schedule as soon as we return to Level 1.
The team at Children's Autism Foundation presents "Understanding Autism", a 2‐hour workshop interactive workshop for parents & whanau and any professionals who engage with children and young people on the Autism Spectrum. You will leave this workshop with a better understanding of autism and with some simple strategies to support your child or the children you work with.
Topics include:
- What is Autism?
- What does Autism look like in children?
- Common challenges faced by a child on the Autism Spectrum
- Strengths that a child on the Autism Spectrum may have
- Practical strategies & tips for living, supporting or teaching a child on the Autism Spectrum
- Autism Q&A
This workshop is free for families/whanau/caregivers. $50 for professionals.
