In Focus Family Workshop
In this session, presented by Autism SA’s Senior Behaviour Practitioner, participants will develop a greater understanding of behaviour and behaviours of concern in the context of autism. During the session, the presenter will guide participants through a range of relevant, realistic and evidence based strategies that can be utilised in a range of settings including in the home, community and education context.
This session is highly recommended for families who are accessing, or looking at accessing, Psychology or Behaviour Support from Autism SA, or who are wanting a deeper understanding of behaviour and practical strategies to support.

Workshop Definitions:
General Workshops are designed to give participants a better understanding of autism. They present a broad range of effective strategies that participants can use to improve their practice when working with individuals on the spectrum. These workshops are suited to participants who have not attended previous Autism SA workshops.
In Focus Workshops are designed for participants who have a good general knowledge and understanding of autism. These sessions are for those wanting to enhance their professional practice by developing skills to support individuals in specific areas relating to autism. It is recommended that participants first attend a General Workshop prior to attending an In Focus Workshop.
Autism SA has a highly experienced and diverse training team which includes consultants, occupational therapists, speech pathologists and facilitators who have extensive experience in working with individuals on the autism spectrum in a range of settings.
