Understanding Family & Domestic Violence Workshop (Port Hedland)
Wanangkura Stadium 24-7
South Hedland WA, Australia
Description
Join DVassist for a free introductory workshop exploring family and domestic violence (FDV) as part of the 16 Days in WA campaign. Designed for community members and people working outside the human services sector, this session will help participants better understand FDV, recognise different forms of abuse and identify signs that someone may be experiencing violence.
The workshop will also explore safe and supportive ways to respond when someone may be experiencing FDV, including where to find help and access specialist support services. No previous knowledge of FDV is needed, and everyone is welcome to attend.
