Event description

TABOO is partnering with the City of Adelaide Council to make menstrual health education more accessible in the community.  Join TABOO Period Products for a free education workshop open to anyone in Adelaide who wants to learn more about the signs and symptoms of both healthy and abnormal menstrual cycles.

What:

This workshop is designed to help you better understand period pain. It  will cover what normal period symptoms are, and how to recognise abnormal signs and symptoms associated with abnormal periods, including symptoms of Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Amenorrhea. The workshop will dive further into exercises for painful periods, phase-based exercises and assist you in understanding the unique hormonal pattern of each menstrual cycle phase. You will walk away with local resources, including free period products and trusted resources for additional menstrual health information.

Key Takeaways:

  • Improved understanding of normal and abnormal signs and symptoms of a menstrual cycle to make informed choices about your health.
  • An insight into Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Amenorrhea
  • An opportunity for the audience to engage in open and honest conversations about abnormal menstrual pain.
