UNDERSTANDING PALESTINE in the west! with Yousef Alreemawi at Mamma Chen's
SATURDAY 2ND AUG 2025, 2-5PM | Free Entry, donations encouraged.
This is a monthly event held at Mamma Chen's to learn about Palestine! In August we will continue exploring the topic "THE PALESTINIAN MOVEMENT" by Yousef Alreemawi from Averroes Centre of Arab Culture.
This session will feature storytelling from Yousef, including time for Q&A. Yousef will close the session with some live traditional Arabic music.

FUNDRAISING FOR PALESTINIAN REFUGEES FLEEING TO AUSTRALIA
Australian refugee support group established in 2008 that provides language and legal support to Palestinian families fleeing conflict zones in Iraq and Syria, and genocide in Gaza.

The entrance of Mamma Chen's is on Albert St, with ramp access for mobility aids.
There is an accessible parking spot and bathroom available.
There will be seats available.
There will be earplugs available and strictly no use of strobe lighting.
