Understanding Robust and Improved Liveability SDA - In person event
Event description
The Housing Hub team shares knowledge with people with disability, so you can find the home that is right for you. With the NDIS there are new choices. Our team includes staff with lived experience who will share their expertise.
If you are a person with disability who wants to know more about Robust and Improved Liveability Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), then this information session will help you to understand what it is, how it works and if it may be right for you.
What is Specialist Disability Accommodation?
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is funded by the NDIS. SDA homes have special features to meet the needs of people who have very high disability support needs. SDA is only for people whose housing and support needs cannot be met in mainstream housing – only around 6% of NDIS participants be funded for SDA.
Find out more about SDA by watching these short videos.
This free in person information session is for people with disability, their families, and support workers. While support coordinators, allied health professionals, and support providers are welcome to attend, our Housing Hub Training sessions may better meet their needs.
