Understanding the Aging Brain: From Normal Aging to Dementia and the Art of Compassionate Communication
Description
Please join Maureen Hulse LCSW for breakfast and a talk about understanding the aging brain. This discussion will include topics ranging from natural aging of the mind to dementia and other cognitive disorders that occur with aging for some people. There will also be information on ways to speak with our family members, spouses, friends who might be dealing with cognitive issues in a compassionate way. This seminar is for anyone interested in their own mind as they get older, anyone who is the caretaker for an aging family member or spouse, or anyone who loves someone who is getting older and might be having some memory difficulties. We will learn about the brain, learn about concerns and learn to navigate some of these hurdles with more compassion for ourselves and for those we love.
