Description

The 2023 Victorian Budget will be delivered on Tuesday 23rd May.

It will detail the Victorian Government's plan for the next twelve months, and reveal what level of funding various program and institutions have attracted.

So what should we expect?

This pre-budget sector briefing hosted by VCOSS and featuring a keynote presentation from RMIT Economics Professor Dr David Hayward will:

  • Help you understand the political and economic context of the 2023 Victorian Budget
  • Give you tips and tricks for understanding the budget papers
  • Explain what you should expect on budget day (budget lockup, media engagement, etc)

This event is free for VCOSS members.

Non-member tickets are $60

You will be able to submit a question as you register and ask questions on the day.

No prior knowledge of budgets or economics is required.

VCOSS is the peak representative body for Victoria’s social and community sector, and the state’s leading social advocacy organisation. We work towards creating a Victoria that is fair, just and inclusive. A society where nobody is trapped by poverty, and everybody is supported to live a life of wellbeing. You can learn more at vcoss.org.au and subscribe to our emails here.
