Event description

About the conference

Violence and trauma have a profound impact on families.

Parent collective, Humans of Family Court Aotearoa is proud to present a line-up of local and international experts in trauma and victim support at our Wellington conference on Tuesday 29th August 2023.  A live-stream, and post-conference recording will also be available for purchase, to make this important event as accessible as possible.

Understand how trauma affects parents and children and learn best practices when working with trauma victims.

The conference is open to everyone, and we hope it will be of particular interest to parents/family members with experience of the Family Court, as well as professionals associated with Family Court services such as judges, lawyers, psychologists, medical practitioners, the Police, and Oranga Tamariki.

All conference attendees to our Wellington event will receive a copy of the Indicative Trauma Impact Manual for Professionals book by Dr Jessica Taylor and Jaimi Shrive (included in the conference ticket price).
