Join WoTL for an introductory workshop on understanding your soil, presented by Amanda Schapel from PIRSA. The day will cover:

  • What makes a healthy soil?
  • Methods to assess soil physical, chemical and biological health
  • Reading a soil test report and understanding what it means for your farm
  • Soil carbon and a discussion on carbon farming
  • Microbiome
  • Practical session on testing for pH and soil texture

This will be an interactive day, including a paddock walk. Please wear enclosed shoes and bring a hat and water.

Please bring a soil sample with you and any soil test results to look at during the session.

Tickets are $55 + booking fee. The day includes morning tea, lunch and a soil pH testing kit to take home.

The full cost of this event is $460 which has been heavily reduced thanks to support of event sponsors.

This workshop is supported by the Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program and the landscape levies.
