Unicorn/Dragon Travel Pillow Sewing Workshop

Sew fun for kids! is a place to learn all about sewing while making fun projects that you can take home and treasure.

In this fun school holiday workshop you will learn how to make a cute travel pillow designed by the team at Quilt Cadets.

This workshop is suitable for boys and girls aged 7 and up. We recommend that you have attended a previous sewing class or workshop and have some sewing machine experience, for example our morning workshop: Shine Bright/Adventure Awaits Sewing Workshop.

You will learn how to:

- sew curved lines

- add stuffing

- hand sew a whip stitch.

We have two versions to choose from:

- a unicorn travel pillow

- a dragon travel pillow.

Each child will have a sewing machine to learn at and all fabrics and accessories are included. 

You will need to bring along a packed afternoon tea and water bottle. Please do not include any food items that contain nuts or traces of nuts.

Please note: if you are also booking for the morning workshop, please bring along a packed lunch as well to eat between the workshops.

Sew fun for kids! accepts Service NSW Creative Kids vouchers.

If you would like to use a voucher, select the Creative Kids voucher ticket and make a payment of $25. You will also be required to enter:

- the voucher number

- your child's name

- your child's date of birth.

All of these details are required for me to register your voucher.

If you have a gift certificate, please select the gift certificate ticket.

A minimum of 4 children are required for the workshop to go ahead. Each workshop has a maximum of 8 participants.


This workshop runs from 12.30pm to 4pm at 4/31 Terminus St, Castle Hill. Our studio has an internal toilet so children do not need to leave the studio during the day.

Please note, we are unable to provide a refund if a cancellation is made less than two weeks prior to the workshop as we will have purchased all of the fabrics and accessories for your child. If you are unable to attend we are very happy to provide you with the fabric kit and pattern instructions for you to pick up from the studio.
