Get ready to attend Orientation! Stay informed and kick off your studies on the right foot!

You are pre-registering for a Nursing Program Information Session held at the City East campus on Monday 19th of February.

There are two sessions: Group 1 and Group 2. 

BOTH SESSIONS ARE FOR INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL NURSING STUDENTS

IF YOU ARE AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT, PLEASE REGISTER FOR GROUP 1

Although you will pre-register for this event through Humanitix, you will be scanned in using your student ID card or through the UniSA App (be sure to download it before Orientation).

You will be provided with a coloured wristband on the day, and don’t worry, student volunteers will help you find your way! Excitement and nerves are all part of Orientation – we can’t wait to welcome you to campus!

What will be covered during your Orientation Day

1. Program Information Session

• Official welcome from your Executive Dean
• Meet your Program Director 
• Learn more about your program and the support available to you
• Gain an understanding of the expectations for your study
• An opportunity to meet key Academic Staff who will be your lecturers and supporting you throughout your studies

2. Campus Tour

• You will be taken on a tour of the City East campus led by our wonderful student volunteers (this will be a generic tour of the campus)

3. Booths on the Plaza

• Make sure to visit the variety of booths relating to your study on the Plaza!
• Be sure to chat to the Clinical Placement Unit (CPU) booth and the medical clinic around being placement ready!
• There will also be a variety of industry booths available for you to connect with on the day
• Be sure to connect with the USASA and UniSA Sport booths to see what else is on offer outside the classroom
• Additional activities and games will also be available on the Plaza for you to socialise with your peers

4. Lunch

• You will receive a $10 lunch voucher at registration for you to use at the on-campus vendors on the day, or you can use it during your first few weeks of study – at any of our metro campuses!

5. Student Panel

• A student panel will commence at 1.30pm – 2.30pm in the Brookman Hall building – This is a great opportunity to hear first-hand from current students what university is really like, gain some tips and tricks to stay on top of study and your wellbeing! There will be plenty of time for Q&A throughout this session! This will commence after lunch has ended, at 1.30pm and finish at 2.30pm.

What to bring on the day?

• Please bring a drink bottle with you, so you can fill it up throughout the day
• Wear comfortable clothing and footwear
• Be sun safe – bring sunglasses, wear a hat and wear sunscreen
• Snacks – because who doesn’t like having some extra snacks on hand!
