UniSA Yungondi Gallery Artist Talk: Callum Docherty
Event description
Please join us for an informal artist talk with exhibiting artist Callum Docherty to hear about his work Collages: Collected Constructions.
When: Thursday 28 March 2024, 1-2pm
Location: Room Y1-70, Yungondi Building, UniSA City West
Pricing: Free, bookings essential
Featuring: Callum Docherty
This one-hour artist talk will discuss the works in the exhibition and Callum Docherty's artistic practice.
The series was largely developed in the studio, working from home through the Covid lockdown, using materials found in the outside world, such as discarded books, magazines and journals which became of interest through this time. Constructing the works is a process driven practice akin to problem solving exercises and eventually emerge as surprising, reimagined perspectives with contemplative, poetic narratives.
