Best friends Ari and Paris move into student accommodation, ready to embrace independence and build a home together. But as rising rent, financial pressure, and the realities of living together set in, small disagreements begin to expose deeper cracks in their friendship. When a mysterious puppet appears and reality starts to blur, Paris becomes increasingly suspicious of Ari’s behaviour and intentions. Their once-close friendship spirals into resentment, isolation, and distrust as their apartment becomes stranger by the day. Darkly funny and increasingly unsettling, Unit 4 explores friendship, independence, the housing crisis, and what can happen when something toxic is allowed to grow.
