Do you want to learn more about how you can take tangible action in gaining justice for refugees?
Be a part of active change-making and stand United for Refugees in Meanjin (Brisbane) by attending this community event on the 19th of November. This is a collaborative event which brings together local organisations working for refugee rights including the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, Refugees Welcome Australia, Refugee Solidarity Meanjin, and Diaspora Advocacy Network for Afghanistan.
The night will begin with a movie screening of the much anticipated ‘Scattered People’, followed by a panel discussion with representatives from our guest organisations and an ‘action’ workshop to provide an understanding of how you can best support local action groups in the work they do to to shift community attitudes and advocate for the safety, fairness and freedom for refugees and people seeking asylum.
Join us on the 19th Nov for an insightful evening, engage in meaningful conversations and connect with other like minded individuals.
This event is open to everyone. Limited seating, we recommend registering your place at the earliest!
100% of the funds raised will go towards hosting of the venue space and to the local orgs.
