United Nations Association of Australia (NSW Division) Monthly Meetup - June 2022
Event description
The theme for NAIDOC Week 2022 is GET UP, STAND UP, SHOW UP!Â
To celebrate NAIDOC Week we're honoured to host a special screening of the new feature documentary Ablaze!Â
The film tells the spectacular true story of the first Aboriginal filmmaker, Bill Onus, a Yorta Yorta Wiradjuri man from Victoria, and truly heroic cultural and political figure who revived his people’s culture in the 1940s and ignited a civil rights movement that would, against enormous odds, change the course of history.Â
We're also excited to celebrate in-person the amazing work of Gamarada Universal Indigenous Resources and Mob Sydney, Aboriginal Motorcycle Club.
