Event description

The United Nations Association of New Zealand warmly invites you to our annual United Nations Day reception on Monday, 4 November 2024, with the friendly support of the Embassy of Switzerland.

Join us to celebrate this special occasion with stunning views from Wellington's tallest building, delicious canapés, and drinks, and hear an insightful keynote address from Hon Simon Watts, New Zealand's Minister of Climate Change and Revenue.

United Nations Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force of the United Nations Charter in 1945. It is a day to honour the work of the UN and its role in promoting peace, security, and cooperation among nations.

Tickets: The ticket price includes drinks and canapés. Please note places are limited, so register early to secure your spot.

This is a unique opportunity to engage with fellow attendees, enjoy refreshments, and reflect on the importance of the United Nations' work.

Hon Simon Watts is the Minister of Climate Change and Revenue in New Zealand. He has served as the Member of Parliament for North Shore since 2020. Simon brings a wealth of experience from his background as a chartered accountant, having worked in international banking and finance across Canada, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
