United Through Art
Event description
United Through Art is an arts diversity program that will deliver a series of free art workshops across two locations in the South of Canberra, Woden Library. This program is for women from refugee and migrant backgrounds and is aimed at preventing violence against women and children by providing the opportunity for community education, social connection and inclusion within an arts context. The classes will enable migrant women to understand and navigate Australian culture, systems and language while also understanding their rights and opportunities while building and developing artistic skills.
United Through Art is a term-based art class that will meet over Term 4 2022.
The group will meet at:
Woden Library, Community Room 1, on Thursdays from 10am – 2pm Term 4 dates are:
13th, 20th, 27th October 2022
3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th November 2022
1st, 8th, 15th December 2022
