On September 25 a series of small Covid-19 safe actions will take place across Australia as part of the #FundOurFutureNotGas global day of action being led by the School Strike 4 Climate. Just two weeks after September 25th the Federal budget will be handed down, which will determine whether the government commits to a clean Covid recovery and invests in renewable energy. The decisions we make now, will impact the carbon dioxide emission pathways for decades.

As part of our action before the day, come and hear tangible ways that we as Uniting Church members can support young people and urge our nation’s leaders to build our future not gas.

Listen to different speakers talking about;

Our current energy use and the reasons we must base our post COVID economic recovery on renewable energy rather than fossil fuels
Stories from Uniting Church leaders about their concerns and why they see involvement in climate action as part of their discipleship
An outline of actions you can take, personally or with others, to support a post COVID recovery that creates jobs and reduces the threat of climate change. These could include, making a sign, attending or holding an event, writing or speaking with your local MP and more.
