UNITY GAMES DAY

A fully inclusive community games event for people of all abilities and everyone who supports them.

This is more than an event. It’s a day where everyone belongs.

We’re bringing together people of all abilities for a full day of sport, fitness, movement, celebration and live entertainment at Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre. Whether you’re a wheelchair user, have sensory needs, are neurodiverse, or simply want to be part of something special — there is a team and a place for you here.

Every participant joins one of five colour-coded teams and represents their team with pride throughout the day. It’s fun, it’s competitive where you want it to be, and it’s designed from the ground up to include everyone.

What’s On

Unity Games

Modified volleyball, basketball and football — adapted so everyone can compete.

The Gauntlet

A modified circuit with adaptive stations built for all ability levels.

Main Arena

Team cheers, dance, live performers and the Cheer-Off finale. This is where the energy peaks.

Sensory Reset Zone

Yoga, meditation and a petting zoo. A calm space available all day for anyone who needs it.

Org Hub

Connect with disability support organisations and partners, take part in challenges and win extra prizes.

Live Entertainment

Music and performers throughout the entire day.

Inclusion is Built In

Carers are welcome in every zone. Quiet opt-out spaces are always available. There is no forced participation — ever. Our staff and volunteers are here to support the day, not to replace the individualised support of your carer or organisation.

All Creative Consult Pty Ltd staff and volunteers hold a current Working With Children Check.

Tickets and Registration

Registration in advance is required. There will be no tickets available at the gate. This ensures every participant is set up correctly, supported appropriately and that the day runs safely and smoothly for everyone.

If you are attending with a support organisation, each participant will need their own ticket. Please ensure all relevant medical conditions, behavioural support needs or allergies are disclosed at the time of registration so we can best prepare for your attendance.

Terms & Conditions, Waiver, and Release of Liability

By purchasing a ticket and/or attending the Unity Games Day, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Participant Responsibility

By registering you confirm that you, or the person you are registering, are attending voluntarily and are aware of the nature of the activities involved. Where a participant is registering themselves, they confirm they have the capacity to understand and agree to these terms. Where a participant lacks capacity to consent independently, the person completing registration confirms they are the participant’s legal guardian, nominated representative, or authorised support person with full authority to do so on their behalf.

2. Support and Supervision Responsibility

Where a participant is attending with a support worker, carer, or representative from a support organisation, that person or organisation accepts full responsibility for the supervision, wellbeing, and safety of the participant throughout the event. Creative Consult Pty Ltd staff and volunteers are present to facilitate the event and its activities, not to provide individualised support unless a separate arrangement has been confirmed in writing with Creative Consult Pty Ltd prior to the event. Where no such arrangement exists, responsibility for support remains entirely with the participant’s carer, support worker, or organisation.

3. Health, Fitness and Disclosure

The person completing registration confirms the participant is in a suitable state of health to take part in physical and social activities. Any relevant medical conditions, disabilities, behavioural support needs, allergies, or emergency information must be disclosed at the time of registration. Creative Consult Pty Ltd will take all reasonable steps to accommodate disclosed needs, however it remains the responsibility of the participant, carer, or support organisation to ensure appropriate support is in place throughout the event.

4. Rules, Behaviour and Conduct

All participants, carers, support workers and representatives must follow event rules, instructions and safety directions from organisers and staff at all times. Respect, inclusion and dignity are expected from everyone in attendance. Zero Tolerance: Aggressive behaviour, bullying, harassment, or smoking and vaping on-site will result in immediate removal from the event without refund, and may result in a ban from future events. Carers and support workers are responsible for managing the behaviour and wellbeing of the participants in their care in accordance with any relevant Behaviour Support Plan or organisational policy.

5. Duty to Withdraw if Unsafe

If a participant, carer, or support worker identifies that continued participation poses a risk to health or safety, participation must cease immediately and the matter reported to a Creative Consult Pty Ltd event organiser without delay.

6. Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that sports, fitness and physical activities carry inherent risks including but not limited to injury, illness, property damage or death. These risks may be heightened for individuals with certain disabilities or health conditions. You voluntarily accept all such risks on behalf of yourself or the participant you are registering.

7. Release and Waiver of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless Creative Consult Pty Ltd, its organisers, volunteers, staff, sponsors and partners from any liability, claims or damages arising from participation in the Unity Games Day, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. This includes any liability arising from the actions or omissions of support workers, carers, or organisations attending with participants.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Creative Consult Pty Ltd and its representatives from any claims, costs, damages or expenses including legal fees arising from your participation or the participation of the person you are registering.

9. Safeguarding and Child Safety

All Creative Consult Pty Ltd staff and volunteers hold a current Working With Children Check. Where participants are under the age of 18, the parent, guardian, or support person accompanying them is responsible for their supervision and wellbeing throughout the event. Creative Consult Pty Ltd is committed to the safety, dignity and inclusion of all participants.

10. Ticket Purchase and Attendance

Purchasing a ticket confirms that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions in full. Tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, please contact the organisers to arrange an approved transfer. Tickets must not be on-sold or transferred without organiser approval, as attendance is restricted to registered participants for safety and planning purposes.

11. Photography and Media

Creative Consult Pty Ltd may capture photos and video content throughout the Unity Games Day for use in promotional and community materials. If you do not consent to you or the participant you are registering being photographed or filmed, please notify us in writing prior to the event.
