Unity Hui 2025
Event description
Launched in 2022, award-winning Unity Week NZ calls us to reflect on the lessons of the 15 March mosque attacks and renew our commitment to strengthening our connections with one another.
Unity Hui brings together international and local speakers for an inspiring conversation on "Are we safer? Securing Aotearoa New Zealand's Unity and Shaping our Future". Hear from thought leaders, and leading experts, as they explore the evolving landscape of safety and unity in Aotearoa New Zealand, examining how societal cohesion can be strengthened in the face of challenges like division, misinformation, and increasing tensions. It asks critical questions about our current state and delves into the actions needed to secure a unified future.
This theme also reflects the importance of balancing national security concerns with the imperative of fostering a sense of belonging for all communities in Aotearoa New Zealand. It speaks to the need for solidarity in the face of adversity, and a shared commitment to building a cohesive society where people of all cultures and beliefs are valued.
