What if the "keys to the city" were bestowed upon you to unlock secrets and mysterious stories of Mackay.
Crossroad Arts performers give you the chance to explore the city through their eyes and ears, presenting you with a fresh new perspective on the familiar and unfamiliar city in which you live. Crossroad Arts highly visible work continues to agitate, spark discussion and promote Mackay as a leading inclusive destination that gives voice to stories that need to be heard. Unlock the City invites audiences to discover unique history and uncover our shared hopes for the future.
Dates: Thursday 15 August, Friday 16 August and Saturday 17 August 2024
Time: 7:00 - 9:00pm
Venue: Old Town Hall Park, 63 Sydney Street, Mackay
Cost: Adult $35 / Concession $30 / Groups 4+ $25. Companion cards accepted.
Access: Wheelchair accessible. Each night is Auslan interpreted and audio description on request.
The total distance of the show across locations is around 750 meters with stops within 100-250 meters and a 15 minute performance between.
We do recommend that people who use mobility aids to bring them along. There will also be some chairs provided at each location.
Please note that the performance is outdoors and it may be chilly.
