Hon Emily Bourke, MLC
Born and raised on a farm near Maitland on the Yorke Peninsula, Emily understands the value
of working together to achieve the best outcome for a community.
Emily has committed most of her working life listening and acting to support individuals,
community groups and the South Australian business community through her roles in both
State and Federal Government.
Emily is proud to be the Assistant Minister to the Premier and part of the Malinauskas Labor
Government team that is committed to improving the basics we all rely on – education, health
services and local jobs opportunities. Emily is a fierce advocate for neurodivergent people in
South Australia.

Nell Harris is an AuDHD (Autistic and ADHD) lived experience educator and the creator of the
neuroaffirming children's books. Drawing from her own neurodivergent journey, Nell provides
professional development, workshops, and consulting to schools, empowering educators and
students to better understand and embrace neurodiversity and emotional wellbeing. Her work
helps create inclusive environments where every child can thrive. Nell’s warmth, authenticity
and generosity in sharing her story will leave you feeling inspired, energised and empowered.

Madhavi Nawana Parker is Director at Positive Minds Australia and has worked with
neurodivergent children and adults for over 25 years, as well as supporting schools and parents
to develop practical tools for connection, emotional regulation and resilience. Madhavi is the
author and co-author of over ten books published worldwide and will empower all adults
supporting neurodivergent people to manage their own wellbeing and emotional regulation.

Nikki Wadewitz Senior Teacher at Positive Minds Australia, has dedicated her career to
empowering neurodivergent people to develop their confidence, resilience and wellbeing,
training hundreds of educators on how to proactively support students in classrooms and
family members at home, through connection via healthy, mutually respectful and supportive
relationships. Nikki’s warm, humourous and intelligent approach to her work has meant that
the young people she works with each day feel seen, heard and valued every day.

Katie O'Reilly, Professional Actor and Senior Teacher at Positive Minds Australia, will be our
emcee, keeping us connected and uplifted throughout the day. Katie’s compassionate and
inclusive approach is an enormous asset to our team through her work in building confidence
and social emotional skills in our neurodivergent students through therapeutic drama, art and
social knowledge programs.
