The Torres Strait Islands are experiencing a sea level rise at twice the global average - Boigu, the lowest island where Uncle Pabai is from, will be engulfed by the ocean by 2050. Like the Northern Rivers region which has been devasted by floods, fires and landslips; communities from Bundjalung to Guda Maluyligal are on the frontlines of climate change and we need to create the political change to prevent further harm.

We invite you to share your stories of climate impacts as part of the growing network of Climate Witnesses supporting the Australian Climate Case and show your support for the Uncles and Torres Strait Island communities by signing the Mura Kalmel Sipa Pledge.

From rising sea levels, floods, and extreme rainfall to heatwaves, fires and landslides - these disasters are becoming more frequent and extreme than ever before and there is nothing natural about them. Fuelled by human pollution from the coal and gas industry, and heavy deforestation, our Government has an obligation to keep us safe and this case could make that happen.
