Event Summary

KC8 has just completed the installation and commissioning of the first commercial pilot for the UNO MK3 post combustion capture system at the National Carbon Capture Centre in Alabama.  The talk will outline the development under the Department of Energy’s ARAP-e program.  Called UNOGAS, the process design was competed in Melbourne with the detailed design and fabrication in Houston, with the packages finally being road transported to Alabama for installation.  The unit will be operational in July with test data in August.  The company is also fabricating a similar package called PACER for installation in Gladstone in August.  Details of the progress on Pacer will also be presented.

 

Presenter - Greg Ross, CEO, KC8

Greg Ross has over 35 years’ experience in executive roles in engineering, manufacturing and product development. His engineering background includes mechanical design of packages in industrial, petrochemical and oil and gas projects including cryogenic storage, gas processing and subsea oil and gas production technology.

He oversaw the development of various novel separation technologies from concept through to manufacture and commercialization in the USA, and was Country Manager of Aker Solutions in Australia before joining KC8 Capture Technologies, taking the company through to full commercialization of the UNO MK3 capture technology.
