Unpacking Shame & Guilt with Kundalini

Shame and guilt are powerful emotions that often leave us feeling inadequate and unloved. When these emotions are internalised it can lead to self hatred and anxiety.

If guilt is the feeling of doing wrong, then shame is the belief that you are wrong. When shame is internalised, guilt becomes a wedge to fuel anxiety and deepen the self animosity that comes from shame. Together they are self doubt and second guessing, and the anxiety about what we said, what we did and what they think.

In this third instalment of the Kundalini & Sound - Working with Challenging Emotions series, we use the tools of breathwork and Kundalini Yoga to unpack internalised shame and guilt.

Through this deeply somatic practice we dive into the experience of shame and guilt as it manifests in the body and ask what we need to break the cycle and build the path to self love. A Deep Sound Immersion completes the experience, allowing you to fully integrate the work from the Kundalini practice.

You may like to bring a notebook and pen to journal about your experience after the Kundalini. there will be people joining for the Deep Sound Immersion part of this workshop so there will be time to do this as we allow space for them to join.

What to bring

Please wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move and bring your yoga mat, cushion a blanket to keep you warm in the deep relaxation of sound immersion and water to drink.
